睿智的老女修道院長處在了彌留之際。修女們聚集在她的病床邊，想辦法讓她舒適的離去。她們給她喝溫好的牛奶，但是被她拒絕了。這時一個修女拿著杯子去了廚房。還記得去年圣誕節(jié)她們收的禮物當中有瓶威士忌，她打開瓶子往牛奶里倒了大半杯。之后她回到老院長的床邊，喂她喝杯子里的東西。老院長喝了一小口，又一大口，大家伙兒都還不知道這個修女到底做了什么，但是院長已經(jīng)喝光了整杯的奶。“院長，院長，”修女們哭著說，“把你的智慧賜給我們吧！”老院長直起身子，虔誠的指著窗外，說：“千萬別賣那頭牛！”幽默 英語
