Chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe,

我的心兒在高原，我的心不在這兒，
我的心兒在高原，追逐著鹿兒，
追逐著野鹿，跟蹤著獐兒，
我的心兒在高原，不管我上哪兒。
Farewell to the Highland farewell to the North,
The birth-place of Valour, the country of Worth ;
Wherever I wander, wherever I rove,
The hills of the Highlands for ever I love.
到了啊高原，別了啊北國，
英雄的家鄉(xiāng)，可敬的故國，
不管我上哪兒漂蕩，我上哪兒遨游，
我永遠(yuǎn)愛著高原的山丘。
Farewell to the mountain high-cover'd with snow,
Farewell to the straths and green vallies below;
