Pip and Oscar find the end of the Rainbow
Oscar was having a really lovely stretch one morning when he saw his great friend Pip coming towards him. They were both black dogs and lived in a village called Jacaranda.
“Come on， Oscar，” said Pip， “I think today we will look for the end of the rainbow.”
After a while， they felt a little pat of rain fall on their noses. Very soon， the gentle pts turned to big splashes.
“Quickly，” cried Pip， “we must shelter.” And they both ran under the branches of a big tree. They had been waiting there for quite some time when a light flashed across the sky， followed by a loud bang. “We really should not be under this tree，” said Pip， “if the lightning should strike it， we could be hurt. Let's go.”
No sooner had Pip and Oscar moved away when there was a cracking sound as a big branch of the tree under which they had been sheltering， fell to the ground with a crash. They had moved just in time！
Just as suddenly as it started， the rain stopped. All around them were puddles， and through the trees they could see the beginning of a rainbow. It got brighter and brighter and they started running towards it. They searched hard， but could not find the end of the rainbow， until Oscar suddenly stopped. There， before him， in the biggest puddle of all was . . . the end of the rainbow！
