A preacher is buying a parrot.
"Are you sure it doesn't scream, yell, or swear?" asked the preacher.
"Oh absolutely. It's a religious parrot," the storekeeper assures him.
"Do you see those strings on his legs? When you pull the right one, he recites the lord's prayer, and when you pull on the left he recites the 23rd Psalm."
"Wonderful!" says the preacher, "but what happens if you pull both strings?"
"I fall off my perch, you stupid fool!" screeched the parrot.
“你保證它不會(huì)尖叫大喊或是罵人嗎？”教士問(wèn)。
“嗯，絕對(duì)保證。這是只信教的鸚鵡，”店主讓他放心，“瞧見拴在它兩條腿上的細(xì)繩了么？你扯右腳那根，它就背誦主禱文；扯左腳那根，它就背誦第23篇贊美詩(shī)。”
“太好啦！”教士說(shuō)，“可要是兩根繩一塊兒扯，會(huì)怎么樣呢？”
“我就從木桿上掉下去了啦，你個(gè)傻老帽兒！”那只鸚鵡尖聲喊道。
