A little old lady went to the grocery store to buy cat food. She picked up three cans and took them to the check out counter.
The girl at the cash register said, "I'm sorry, but we cannot sell you cat food without proof that you have a cat. A lot of older people buy cat food to eat, and the government requires proof that you are buying the cat food for your cat."
The little old lady went home, picked up her cat and brought it back to the store, and they sold her the cat food.
The next day, she tried to buy three cans of dog food. Again the cashier demanded proof that she had a dog, because older people sometimes eat dog food.
She went home and brought in her dog, and they sold her dog food.
The next day she brought in a box with a hole in the lid, and asked the cashier to stick her finger in the hole but the cashier refused, saying "No, you might have a snake in there." The little old lady assured her that there was nothing in the box that would harm her. So the cashier put her finger into the box and pulled it out and exclaimed, "That smells like shit." The little old lady said, "It is. Now can I buy three rolls of toilet paper?" 一個小老太太去一家雜貨鋪買貓食，她拿了三罐去交錢。
收銀臺小姐：“如果你不能證明你有一只貓，我們就不能賣給你貓糧?！币驗楹芏嗬先速I貓食自己吃，所以政府要求買貓糧的人必須證明貓糧是買給貓吃的。
老太太只好回家去把自己的貓抱來，售貨員這才把貓食賣給她。
第二天，老太太又想買三罐狗糧，結果收銀臺小姐又提出了同樣的要求，因為老年人有時也吃狗糧。
她只好又回家去把自己的狗抱來。他們把狗糧賣給了她。
第三天，老太太抱了個盒子來，盒子的蓋子上有個洞。她讓收銀員伸手進去摸，可收銀員拒絕了，說：“不，你可能放了一條蛇在里面”。老太太保證里面沒有對她有害的東西。收銀員把手伸進去，摸了下伸出來，喊到：“它聞起來象大便”。老太太說：“沒錯，因為我今天要買三卷廁紙 ?！蹦憧闯鰜硎鞘裁戳嗣矗抗
