2：1 你們死在過犯罪惡之中，他叫你們活過來，And you hath he quickened， who were dead in trespasses and sins；
2：2 那時你們在其中行事為人隨從今世的風俗，順服空中掌權者的首領，就是現今在悖逆之子心中運行的邪靈。
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world， according to the prince of the power of the air， the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience：
2：3 我們從前也都在他們中間，放縱肉體的私欲，隨著肉體和心中所喜好的去行，本為可怒之子，和別人一樣。
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh， fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind； and were by nature the children of wrath， even as others.
2：4 然而神既有豐富的憐憫。因他愛我們的大愛，But God， who is rich in mercy， for his great love wherewith he loved us，
2：5 當我們死在過犯中的時候，便叫我們與基督一同活過來。（你們得救是本乎恩）
Even when we were dead in sins， hath quickened us together with Christ， （by grace ye are saved；）
2：6 他又叫我們與基督耶穌一同復活，一同坐在天上，And hath raised us up together， and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus：
2：7 要將他極豐富的恩典，就是他在基督耶穌里向我們所施的恩慈，顯明給后來的世代看。
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
2：8 你們得救是本乎恩，也因著信，這并不是出于自己，乃是神所賜的。
For by grace are ye saved through faith； and that not of yourselves： it is the gift of God：
2：9 也不是出于行為，免得有人自夸。
Not of works， lest any man should boast.
2：10 我們原是他的工作，在基督耶穌里造成的，為要叫我們行善，就是神所豫備叫我們行的。
For we are his workmanship， created in Christ Jesus unto good works， which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
2：11 所以你們應當記念，你們從前按肉體是外邦人，是稱為沒受割禮的，這名原是那些憑人手在肉身上稱為受割禮之人所起的。
Wherefore remember， that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh， who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands；
2：12 那時你們與基督無關，在以色列國民以外，在所應許的諸約上是局外人。并且活在世上沒有指望，沒有神。
That at that time ye were without Christ， being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel， and strangers from the covenants of promise， having no hope， and without God in the world：
2：13 你們從前遠離神的人，如今卻在基督耶穌里，靠著他的血，已經得親近了。
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
2：14 因他使我們和睦，（原文作因他是我們的和睦）將兩下合而為一，拆毀了中間隔斷的墻。
For he is our peace， who hath made both one， and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us；
2：15 而且以自己的身體，廢掉冤仇，就是那記在律法上的規條。為要將兩下，藉著自己造成一個新人，如此便成就了和睦。
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity， even the law of commandments contained in ordinances； for to make in himself of twain one new man， so making peace；
2：16 既在十字架上滅了冤仇，便藉這十字架，使兩下歸為一體，與神和好了。
And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross， having slain the enmity thereby：
2：17 并且來傳和平的福音給你們遠處的人，也給那近處的人。
And came and preached peace to you which were afar off， and to them that were nigh.
2：18 因為我們兩下藉著他被一個圣靈所感得以進到父面前。
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
2：19 這樣，你們不再作外人，和客旅，是與圣徒同國，是神家里的人了。
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners， but fellowcitizens with the saints， and of the household of God；
2：20 并且被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，有基督耶穌自己為房角石。
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets， Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone；
2：21 各（或作全）房靠他聯絡得合式，漸漸成為主的圣殿。
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord：
2：22 你們也靠他同被建造成為神藉著圣靈居住的所在。
In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
