The Golden Box
A man punished his 3-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box.
Nevertheless， the little girl brought the gift to her father on Christmas morning and said， “This is for you， Daddy.” He was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction， but his anger flared again when he found the box was empty.
He yelled at her， “Don't you know when you give someone a present， there's supposed to be something inside it？”
The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said， “Oh， Daddy， it's not empty， I blew kisses into the box. All for you， Daddy.”
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl， and he begged for her forgiveness.
It was not long before the girl was killed in a terrible accident. It is told that the man kept that gold box by his bed for years and whenever he was discouraged， he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.
一位父親懲罰了自己三歲的小女兒，因為她把一整卷精美而昂貴的包裝紙剪壞了。當看到女兒用這卷包裝紙包盒子時，想到家里低微的收入，這位父親越發生氣了。

爸爸呆住了，他緊緊地把小女兒抱在懷里，請求她的原諒。
之后不久，一次可怕的事故奪去了小女孩的生命，而這位父親一生都把這只金色的盒子擺在床頭。每當面對非常刺手的問題或是缺乏勇氣的時候，他就會打開這只盒子，想象著接受女兒的一個吻，回想著孩子放在里面的愛。
事實上，我們每個人，都已經收到了這樣一份禮物，有著非常珍貴的包裝和內涵。這是我們的家庭、朋友給予的無私的愛和親吻。世界上沒有什么東西比愛更珍貴，更值得收藏。
