On Optional Courses of Universities
For the last few years, university students have been given the chance to choose a few optional courses in addition to the mandatory courses of their majors.
最近幾年來，除了上專業(yè)必修課之外，大學(xué)生們還有機(jī)會選學(xué)一些選修課。
Because it has become known that some students end up spending more time on their elective classes than on their required classes, not everyone is entirely satisfied with this system. In fact, some students have even had to drop out of university because of failing grades due to the amount of time and effort spent on the optional classes.
大家都知曉的一點(diǎn)卻是，有些學(xué)生最后往往花費(fèi)很多的時間在選修課上，因此忽略了必修課程，所以并非所有人都完全贊同這種選課制度。事實(shí)上，有些學(xué)生因?yàn)檫x修課占用了大量時間和精力，導(dǎo)致專業(yè)課掛科，而不得不退學(xué)。
However, I believe that optional courses provide students with many benefits. Not only are students given a platform to pursue some of their own interests, but they are also forced to make some decisions on their own, which is an important aspect of adulthood.(130 words)
不過，我認(rèn)為選修課會讓學(xué)生們受益匪淺。這不僅給學(xué)生們提供了一個平臺來發(fā)展自己的個人愛好，而且迫使他們獨(dú)立作決定，這種抉擇的能力是衡量一個人成熟與否的重要方面。
