狗、公雞和狐貍 The Dog,the Cock and the Fox
A dog and a cock were good friends and they were traveling together. When the night came on, the cock flew up to a tree and slept there, and the dog found a hollow in the same tree and slept in it. When the morning came, the cock woke up and began to crow.
一只狗和一只公雞是好朋友，它們一起旅行。當夜幕降臨時，公雞飛到樹上，睡在那里，狗在同一棵樹上發現了一個空洞，并睡在里面。當早晨來臨時，公雞醒來，開始啼叫。

“謝謝你,狐貍先生。要不你上來這里怎樣?這里很好，很涼快。”公雞回答。“好吧，我會的。但是我怎樣上來呢?”狐貍問。
“Just go round the trunk below me, and wake my servant in a hollow. He will open the door for you.” said the cock. The fox came near the hollow. And the dog rushed out, sprang upon the fox and killed it at once.
“就從我下面的樹干上來，把我在樹洞里的仆人叫醒。他會為你開門的。”公雞說。狐貍走近了樹洞。狗沖了出來，撲向狐貍，立刻把它殺死了。
