It was the day before Easter and Peter Cottontail was very busy. As the Chief Easter Bunny, it was his job to hide all the eggs for all the Easter egg hunts around the world. Peter wanted to be sure that he had enough of the beautifully colored eggs for everyone. So he was counting them all.But he kept getting distracted and losing count.
時(shí)間是復(fù)活節(jié)之前，皮特很忙。作為主要的復(fù)活節(jié)兔子，他的工作是將所有的為全世界復(fù)活節(jié)狩獵所需要的蛋藏起來(lái)。皮特想確定他有充足的為復(fù)活節(jié)而準(zhǔn)備的美麗的彩蛋。所以他正在把它們都數(shù)一數(shù)。但是他一直分神而忘了數(shù)的數(shù)字。
First, Peter thought he heard the meow of one little kitten. But he didn't see a kitten. Next he thought he heard two meows from two kittens, but he still didn't see anything. Then Peter thought he heard three meows from three little kittens. "Maybe they're outside," thought Peter. So, he opened the door and sure engough……
開(kāi)始，皮特想他聽(tīng)到了一只小貓的叫聲。但是他看不見(jiàn)一只小貓。接著他想他聽(tīng)到了兩只小貓的聲音，但是他依然什么都看不見(jiàn)。然后皮特想他看見(jiàn)了三只小貓的聲音?！耙苍S他們?cè)谕饷妫逼ぬ叵?。所以他打開(kāi)門來(lái)看個(gè)清楚……
