A member of the House of Commons got up in a debateand said that Winston Churchill was evidently suffering fromberiberi，as a sign of that disease was a swollen head.
Afterwards Churchill corrected the member and said thatswollen feet，not head，were the sign.
“That makes no difference，” was the reply.“All I meantto convey was that you were too big for your boots.”
