英文標(biāo)識(shí)笑話百出 趣解WC
這邊“××路”譯成“××lu”，那邊“××路”譯成“××road”，混亂的英文標(biāo)識(shí)經(jīng)常令老外“蒙查查”。
記者昨日從廣州市質(zhì)監(jiān)局獲悉，廣東首部《公共場(chǎng)所雙語標(biāo)識(shí)英文譯法規(guī)范》(征求意見稿)即將出臺(tái)，并于7月起實(shí)施，路名地名今后將有地道統(tǒng)一的英文名字。如廁所不再叫“w.c”，統(tǒng)一譯為“toilet”。
英文標(biāo)識(shí)笑話百出
廣州的英語標(biāo)識(shí)混亂，為人詬病已久。廣州市質(zhì)監(jiān)局介紹，廣東省目前尚未有全省統(tǒng)一的公共場(chǎng)所標(biāo)志英文譯法。目前不少公共場(chǎng)所雙語標(biāo)識(shí)的譯法存在問題，有些英文譯法與中文原意相去甚遠(yuǎn)。“中式英語標(biāo)牌”、簡單語法的錯(cuò)誤，會(huì)讓國際游客感到困惑，損害廣東現(xiàn)代、開放的國際形象。
有關(guān)人士介紹，廣州大部分的英語標(biāo)識(shí)主要存在兩個(gè)問題：一是英語用詞不合適，前后不一致；二是很多英語標(biāo)識(shí)仍然用的是“漢字打造法”，白云國際機(jī)場(chǎng)此前就被媒體曝光出英文標(biāo)識(shí)的問題，如這邊的“停車樓”被翻譯為“parkinggarage”，而就在相隔不到20米的另一指示牌上，同樣是“停車樓”，卻被翻譯為“carparkbuilding”。在機(jī)場(chǎng)出發(fā)大廳，“前行30米”的標(biāo)識(shí)直接翻譯成了“goahead30m”，按慣用方法，ahead后面不會(huì)跟名詞，令外國乘客十分別扭，甚至有點(diǎn)搞笑，其實(shí)最簡單而直接的表述應(yīng)該是“30mahead”。
