讓人捧腹的英語文化陷阱~Sweet tooth
我最害怕看牙醫，但是因為有一顆蛀牙讓我實在疼痛難忍，所以只好鼓足勇氣，到牙醫診所掛號。當醫生為我檢查的時候，他問我：“Do you have a sweet tooth?”我很無辜地回答：“I had a doughnut this morning before coming here. I brushed my teeth. There is no sweet tooth。”他聽了后搖搖頭，便開始替我補牙。 很敏感的我，知道可能答非所問，鬧了笑話，但是卻百思不解。我懂 Sweet 及 Tooth 這兩個單字，但把這兩個字放在一起合用，我就不知道意思了。回家查了字典后，我才恍然大悟，原來sweet tooth的意思是“愛吃甜食”。 (摘自《世界日報》)長了糖牙？當然不是啦，哈哈，不要犯同樣的錯誤哦~
