Yesterday, I and L went fishing again! We got there and saw a lot of little fish so we immediately took out our pole. I got some bad news, we didn’t bring bread. Fortunately, I brought some crackers. However, mom found some bread for us—leftover from the day before. We were soooooo happy! Quickly, we untangled the line and put some bread on the hook. However, the hook was too big! No matter how or what angel it’s in, the fish just got the bread without touching the tip of the hook.
Finally, we went to the place where I got my first fish. There’s no sign of any fish there. Our hope dropped a little. As we go along the side the pond, our hope dropped more and more. I lost all hope when we came to our last fishing spot. Some people were already fishing there. We went to the other side. Mom said that this way is faster and I won’t have to carry the bucket a long way. I went the other way because I thought that way was better. Well, it wasn’t, not at all. Waaay worse.
We just can’t get the fish. I could see them, right there! But every time we got the hook ready, they’re gone, every time the hook’s not ready, they came. Oh, and there’s also the ducks. We wasted a lot of bread to lure the ducks away. Soon, we went to another place a few feet away. I got one! After sooo much trying! I can’t believe it! It flipped and flopped back into the water! Wow, I am very disappointed. Now, it’s L's turn.
L didn’t get any so it’s my turn again. I caught one! I called for mom to get the fish because it landed on the grass. Soon,L tried to get one. She just couldn’t get any! Suddenly, she got one fish. It landed on the grass again and I called my mom again. My mom just couldn’t understand so she didn’t come, finally, about a minuet later, she came. I was so nervous and I thought it was dead. Then, as it got into the water, it flipped and flopped around! I guess it’s alive after all.
I got one fish the minute I put my line down. While L rested, I got another one. L complained that she got only one and I already got my three fish! We planed to get six fish together. Well, I told her to be patient. The fish didn’t like her, I thought. Soon, she got one! After some very frustrating tries, she got another! Then, I got one too! So together, we got seven! We tip the bucket over and freed the fish. Then, we went home. From a block away, mom recognized L's mother. Then, we ate the sweet milk popsicles we made with the sweet milk L brought. Then, L went home. I was very happy.
