This question brings up the vivid memory of my cinema experience with a Singaporean movie titled 'Money No Enough', the urban-based movie depicts many of the scenes where people get charmed by bank notes and reveals the innermost feelings of many people desiring to gain overnight wealth. Well, it is indeed a question as to what extent of wealth do we consider as enough. From my point of view, earning enough money is to provide comfortable living for my family.
Money, in my thinking, is the motivation that enables us to provide comfortable living, security and good education to our family. I do admit that we have to earn money to achieve those mentioned wishes but money should be considered as enough after that and we should take time off our packed working schedules to share our lives with our loved ones, be it dinners with your parents or an afternoon's tickling with your children. Our families and loved ones should be considered the most important elements in our lives, and the quality time we spent with them needs to be treasured. Our lives should be lived more meaningfully and not be spent running through the stock exchange or working during the wee-hours on the 19th floor of your office building.
On the other side of the leaf, money, as many people see it, it is a tool that has propelled our society and watered our desire to excel. We do need money to support our family and provide good education to our next generation. Thus, it is important that we go out to work and understand the position of money where it should be placed in our lives---the primary tool for material exchange. Many people believe that this is a confusing dilemma and it is hard for us to get to the soul of the question but I think as long as we earn enough to provide comfortable living standards for our family, it would be good enough.
Money has been playing an increasingly important role in our society and has touched every aspect of our daily routine, it is critical that we understand the key features of this double-bladed sword and I believe that we should realize that money would be enough if it grants us the chance to a comfortable living.
