Competition
Just as animals' competing for survival makes them stronger, competition is very necessary for the advancement of human society. Without competition, man would become lazy and nobody would take any responsibi1ity.
正如動(dòng)物為了生存而競(jìng)爭(zhēng)使得它們更加強(qiáng)壯，競(jìng)爭(zhēng)對(duì)人類社會(huì)的進(jìn)步是非常必要的。沒有競(jìng)爭(zhēng)，人類將會(huì)變得懶惰，不愿意承擔(dān)責(zé)任。
In the first place, competition can make people hardworking and creative. In the past, China's productivity was very low because of the so-called planned economy. That system makes no competition at all. So neither farmers nor workers worked hard. However, when Deng Xiaoping put forward the marketing economy which requires fiercer competition, China began to become prosperous and strong in economy. In the second place, competition also can stimulate people to try their best to do things. For example, in 100-meter race, each sportsman runs as quickly as possible, trying to become the champion. The same things happen in our society and in our daily life.
首先，競(jìng)爭(zhēng)可以使人們努力工作和富有創(chuàng)造力。在過(guò)去，因?yàn)樗^的計(jì)劃經(jīng)濟(jì)，中國(guó)的生產(chǎn)力非常低。該體制內(nèi)完全沒有競(jìng)爭(zhēng)。因此，農(nóng)民和工人都不努力工作。然而，當(dāng)鄧小平提出了市場(chǎng)經(jīng)濟(jì)，這要求激烈的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)，中國(guó)的經(jīng)濟(jì)開始變得繁榮和強(qiáng)盛。第二，競(jìng)爭(zhēng)也可以激發(fā)人們盡全力去做事情。例如，在100米賽跑中，每個(gè)運(yùn)動(dòng)員都盡可能跑得快，都試圖成為冠軍。同樣的事情也發(fā)生在我們的社會(huì)和日常生活中。
Being a student, I must compete with other students in our studies. Therefore, I study hard in all the fields so as to be a useful man when I enter the society after graduation.(174 words)
作為一名學(xué)生，我必須在學(xué)習(xí)上和其他同學(xué)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)。因此，在各方面我都要努力學(xué)習(xí)，從而在畢業(yè)后走進(jìn)社會(huì)成為一個(gè)有用的人。
