In today’s society, some people like to be modest, which is often regarded as a good virtue. But sometimes it may lead to misunderstanding. For example, if one is praised for his work, but he tends to be modest be saying “ it is not that good”, other people might be misled to believe that he has not done anything worth praising. In this case it is really not necessary.
On the other hand, some people are always trying to be ambotious. They think that being ambitious will win respect from other people, and will encourage them to work hard towords the goal. So they want to be ambitious about anything around them.
In my opinion, we should be modest sometimes, which can give other people a good impression. At other times, we should try to be ambitious, which will help us set a higher goal and encourage us to work harder. (151 words)
