香港人恐懼“蝗蟲” Hong Konger is Upset About “Locust”

We still can remember how happy we were when Hong Kong finally reunited with the motherland, and we all believe that Hong Kong’s return has had a good beginning and Hong Kong’s future will be even brighter. However, things are not going like what we image about. The fight between Hong Kong people and mainland people is more and more fierce. The main point is that Hong Kong people are not happy to see the mainland people use their resource without paying any tax.

我們依然記得香港終于回歸祖國懷抱時(shí)的喜悅，我們都相信香港的回歸是個(gè)好開端，香港的未來會(huì)更加明亮。但是，實(shí)行并不像我們想象的那樣。香港人和大陸人的爭(zhēng)論越發(fā)激烈。主要就是香港人看到大陸人不用交稅就使用他們的資源就不高興了。

Hong Kong people called the people who go to Hong Kong and enjoy a high social welfare “locust”, we can see that literary, Hong Kong people worry about that mainland people will “eat” too much their welfare, just like a locust, and left less or nothing for them. What’s worse, for instance, if a mainland pregnant woman having baby in Hong Kong, then her baby are going to enjoy the high Hong Kong social welfare, like they can go to Hong Kong’s school, receive a better education, and the medical insurance, which are all better than mainland’s level. What makes the Hong Konger upset about is that they enjoy this welfare without paying any tax, that’s really bothering them.

香港人叫這些來香港享受高社會(huì)福利的人作“蝗蟲”，我們能夠直觀地看字面理解，香港人擔(dān)心大陸人會(huì)吃光他們的福利，就像蝗蟲，給他們留下極少或者什么都不留的福利。更糟糕的是，例如一個(gè)大陸孕婦在香港生孩子的話，她的孩子就會(huì)享受香港的社會(huì)福利，例如他們能夠上香港的學(xué)校，接受更好的教育，還有醫(yī)療保險(xiǎn)，這些都比大陸的水準(zhǔn)高。讓香港人不安的是他們不用交稅就能享受福利，這實(shí)在是讓他們惴惴不安。

To addition, as the Hong Kong Permit is easier than before, more and more people are attending to go to Hong Kong to settle down or travel. And some mainland people’s behavior has start a controversy, their uncivilized behavior makes them more obnoxious to Hong Kong people. For example, mainland people eat in subway, litter everywhere. We cannot blame Hong Kong people by that; after all we lower their city quality.

還有，現(xiàn)在香港通行比以前簡(jiǎn)單，越來越多人都打算去香港定居或者旅游。有些大陸人的行為就引發(fā)了爭(zhēng)議，他們的不文明行為讓香港人更加討厭他們。例如，大陸人在地鐵里吃東西，隨處丟垃圾。我們不能因此責(zé)怪香港人，畢竟是我們拉低了他們的城市素質(zhì)。

To sum up, Chinese government could introduce relevant policy to balance the welfare between Hong Kong and mainland people, and mainland people who go to Hong Kong should pay attention to their behavior. Hong Kong reunited with motherland is not easy; we should not break our relationship for that.

總而言之，中國政府應(yīng)該出臺(tái)相關(guān)的政策，去平衡香港和大陸的福利，還有去香港的大陸人應(yīng)該注意他們的行為。香港好不容易回歸祖國，我們不能因?yàn)檫@些事破壞我們的關(guān)系。
