Examinations
Examinations have generally been regarded as a means to stimulate students to make greater efforts to study. However， different people have different ideas about examinations.
Some people believe that examinations can help students go over what they have learnt and find out their weak points in studying. They are almost sure that if examinations were cancelled， most students would not study hard. But others think that examinations are a form of subjective assessment and cannot reflect a student's ability and talent. Usually students spend so many hours preparing for examinations that they have no time lift to learn new knowledge.
Now the most important thing is to reform examinations. The purpose of examinations should be not only to help students review and assess what they have already learnt but also to encourage them to study hard and raise their abilities to analyze and solve problems.
