The Qing Dynasty lasted about 296 years. It was the second time after the Yuan Dynasty when China was ruled by the minority, the Manchu people.It had twelve emperors during its times. There were Nu`erhachi, Huangtaiji ,Shunzhi, Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong, Jiaqing, Daoguang, Xianfeng, Tongzhi, Guangxu and Xuantong. These emperors mostly lived in the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and other luxury places.
As we know, the Kangxi Emperor, the second emperor of the Qing Dynasy was more famous. His >China's history. During his reign the empire increased in wealth and most of the time his people enjoyed peace and happiness in life.
Compared him with his elders and posterities, he was not only a great emperor, but also a bookish person. He studied everyday as a rule no matter what happened. He studied both old Chinese classic and western science. He even interested in mathematics and astronomy. He used his own bow compass and set square to study himself. After Kangxi's son Yongzheng Emperor and grandson Qianlong Emperor, the Qing Dynasty got worse and worse. It ended when the Republic of China founded in 1911.
