——the article of thanksgiving day
I’m a little embarrassed to say that I cannot kick shuttlecock. I mean, I really can’t, I can’t kick a little. But many Chinese girls can do that pretty well. That is why I am embarrassed.
So, all the time, I feel uncomfortable and shy because of kicking shuttlecock makes me feel silly before. Kicking shuttlecock is the embarrassment of me.
One time, before a PE lesson, Hyoga(nickname), Camus(nickname) and Shura(nickname) pulled, pushed and dragged me to the playground(because I wanted to stay in the classroom until the school’s bell rings up).
“What’s up?” I was a little unhappy, but they looked so excited.
“Always sit in the classroom is not good for your health, Freya(my nickname), why don’t you come and kick shuttlecock with us!” said Shura.
“I can’t kick shuttlecock. You know, Hyoga, Camus, Shura.”
“We can teach you, and you can learn!”
“I’m so sorry, I have no interest in what you’re doing. Maybe I should go back to the classroom.” Said I, looked indifferent.
“Our class teacher’s there, be careful!”
I had no idea, so I learned. Perhaps I was really fortunately.
That was very good, no one made jokes on me, if I lost, they comfort me and tried to blow off my steam. So I didn’t quit. They gave me more confidence, if I did something inaccurately at the first time, I was getting better and better.
The shuttlecock was a pain in the neck for me, but now, I’m a little partial to it. Because of this, I become more athletic and meet more outgoing and trustworthy friends. So, at thanksgiving, this perfect holiday to show that I’m grateful, I’ll say “thanks a million” to Hyoga, Camus and Shura. Really, thank you!
