Belated birthday--誤期生日
One day after work，I was driving my two sons home from school when Christopher asked if we could stop by a store so he could by a birthday gift to take to the school the next day. I said，“sure，but why？”he proceeded to tell me that tomorrow would be George Washington‘s birthday，and he want to take him a gift.
His older brother，Richard，looked at Christopher and said，“he is dead，stipid！”
Christopher‘s quick reply was，“darn，I knew we should have bought it sooner！”
一天下班之后，我開車到學(xué)校接兩個(gè)孩子回家時(shí)，克里斯托弗問我能否在商店門口停一下車，他要買份生日禮物。我說(shuō)：“當(dāng)然可以了，不過是什么原因呢？”于是他告訴我說(shuō)明天是喬治?華盛頓的生日，他想送他一份禮物。
他的哥哥理查德看著他說(shuō)：“他已經(jīng)死了，你這個(gè)笨家伙！”
克里斯托弗迅速的回答道：“唉，早就知道我們?cè)撛琰c(diǎn)買禮物的了！”
