　　49：1 （可拉后裔的詩(shī)，交與伶長(zhǎng)）萬(wàn)民哪，你們都當(dāng)聽(tīng)這話，世上一切的居民，Hear this， all ye people； give ear， all ye inhabitants of the world：

　　49：2 無(wú)論上流下流，富足貧窮，都當(dāng)留心聽(tīng)。

　　Both low and high， rich and poor， together.

　　49：3 我口要說(shuō)智慧的言語(yǔ)。我必要想通達(dá)的道理。

　　My mouth shall speak of wisdom； and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

　　49：4 我要側(cè)耳聽(tīng)比喻，用琴解謎語(yǔ)。

　　I will incline mine ear to a parable： I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

　　49：5 在患難的日子，奸惡隨我腳跟，四面環(huán)繞我，我何必懼怕。

　　Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil， when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about？

　　49：6 那些倚仗財(cái)貨自夸錢(qián)財(cái)多的人，They that trust in their wealth， and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches；

　　49：7 一個(gè)也無(wú)法贖自己的弟兄，也不能替他將贖價(jià)給神，None of them can by any means redeem his brother， nor give to God a ransom for him：

　　49：8 叫他長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)活著，不見(jiàn)朽壞。

　?。‵or the redemption of their soul is precious， and it ceaseth for ever：）

　　49：9 因?yàn)橼H他生命的價(jià)值極貴，只可永遠(yuǎn)吧休。

　　That he should still live for ever， and not see corruption.

　　49：10 他必見(jiàn)智慧人死。又見(jiàn)愚頑人和畜類(lèi)人，一同滅亡，將他們的財(cái)貨留給別人。

　　For he seeth that wise men die， likewise the fool and the brutish person perish， and leave their wealth to others.

　　49：11 他們心里思想，他們的家室必永存，住宅必留到萬(wàn)代。他們以自己的名，稱(chēng)自己的地。

　　Their inward thought is， that their houses shall continue for ever， and their dwelling places to all generations； they call their lands after their own names.

　　49：12 但人居尊貴中不能長(zhǎng)久，如同死亡的畜類(lèi)一樣。

　　Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not： he is like the beasts that perish.

　　49：13 他們行的這道，本為自己的愚昧。但他們以后的人，還佩服他們的話語(yǔ)。（細(xì)拉）。

　　This their way is their folly： yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.

　　49：14 他們?nèi)缤蛉号啥ㄏ玛庨g。死亡必作他們的牧者。到了早晨，正直人必管轄他們。他們的美容，必被陰間所滅，以致無(wú)處可存。

　　Like sheep they are laid in the grave； death shall feed on them； and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning； and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.

　　49：15 只是神必救贖我的靈魂，脫離陰間的權(quán)柄，因他必收納我。（細(xì)拉）

　　But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave： for he shall receive me. Selah.

　　49：16 見(jiàn)人發(fā)財(cái)家室增榮的時(shí)候，你不要懼怕。

　　Be not thou afraid when one is made rich， when the glory of his house is increased；

　　49：17 因?yàn)樗赖臅r(shí)候，什么也不能帶去。他的榮耀不能隨他下去。

　　For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away： his glory shall not descend after him.

　　49：18 他活著的時(shí)候，雖然自夸為有福，（你若利己，人必夸獎(jiǎng)你）。

　　Though while he lived he blessed his soul： and men will praise thee， when thou doest well to thyself.

　　49：19 他仍必歸到他歷代的祖宗那里，永不見(jiàn)光。

　　He shall go to the generation of his fathers； they shall never see light.

　　49：20 人在尊貴中，而不醒悟，就如死亡的畜類(lèi)一樣。

　　Man that is in honour， and understandeth not， is like the beasts that perish.
