Olympics to generate 1.82m jobs
The 2008 Beijing Olympics is expected to provide 1.82 million jobs in the Chinese capital， the Beijing Morning Post reported.
The jobs will be created between 2004 and 2008， according to a just-released research report on investment in the 2008 Olympics and economic development in Beijing.

Beijing has pumped 220 billion yuan （US$27 billion） into infrastructure development projects during the 2001-2005 period， a growth of nearly 60 percent from the 138.3 billion yuan for the 1996-2000 period.
