Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Playing sports can teach people lessons about the life.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Sample Answer：
Swimming, badminton, tennis, Ping-pong and so forth, everyone would be familiar with these items better than anything else, as sports are one of the most common means of activities for human beings. However, when it comes to whether playing sports can teach people more lessons about life, people doubt. As far as I am concerned, playing sports is more valuable and meaningful to our life than the activity itself.

One basic but precious lesson sports convey is to cherish our life. My uncle, sales manager of an international corporation serves as a good example. In the previous years, he dedicated nearly all his time in the company, working on endless marketing analysis, staying up late for innovative sales strategies and fighting for breaking the next sales record. He did make great contribution to the development of the company, but last year, when he was informed by his doctor that he had diabetes mellitus, he realized it was time to make changes. Thus, he allocated part of his spare time hanging out, jogging, cycling. Now, from time to time, he even organizes sports activities in his company or department to arouse the employees’ awareness that besides work, the significance of physical health can never be neglected.

What is more, sports, especially team sports, emphasize the importance of team spirit and unity in our daily life. With the increasing complexity in today’s tasks, hardly can an individual accomplish a project alone with his or her own effort. Only if one masters how to cooperate with other members in a group can the group task be finished exceptionally good. In the case of football which consists of 11 players, including goal keeper, forward, fullback and so on, only when they hold their heart together, aiming for the same goal can they beat the rivals and eventually win the match.

Last but not the least, what is equally valuable discussing is that a person doing sports is like experiencing a lesson to get to know how to persevere. Olympic winners can be such an example. Yuzuru Hanyu, a famous Japanese figure skater, who has won two gold medals of the Winter Game and broken his own records repeatedly. After his success, his story also became widely known by people: he trains himself extremely hard per day, and what he is obsessed with is perfection and being invincible. Not only did he impress the whole society with the significance of being sportive, especially skating, but also his story, as well as his personal magnetism, inspired thousands of young students, middle-aged, or even old people to be perseverant and tough in face of difficulties.

To sum up, according to the aforementioned discussion, not only does doing sports benefit our physical health and arouse the public’s awareness of health care, but also it lifts up the public’s spirit of teamwork and never giving up. （477 words）
