The designers of a popular interactive program that lets netizens create pictures of themselves in People's Liberation Army (PLA) uniforms have shot down a rumor that the program is an internet fraud.

7月30日，建軍90周年閱兵式(the parade marking the 90th anniversary of the PLA)舉行當(dāng)日，《人民日?qǐng)?bào)》通過(guò)微信分享了其開(kāi)發(fā)的這款程序。掃描二維碼(scan a QR code)后，用戶只需上傳一張頭像照片(upload a headshot photo)，并選擇想要"參軍"的年代(select the period in which they want to "serve")，就能獲得一張看起來(lái)像穿上了軍裝的合成照(receive a composite that appears to show them in a PLA uniform)。該活動(dòng)很快就火了起來(lái)(quickly become a hit)，許多人在微信和其它社交媒體上與朋友分享自己的軍裝照。
