　　Nowadays,most universities require students to payfor their education, and the tuition fees have beenstaying very high. Some people take thedevelopment of the universities into considerationand support the high fees; while others think thehigh cost of university education is a heavy burdenfor many families. As far as I am concerned,universities are not institutions for profits,they are places for excellent students to learn andfurther study equally, so they should not charge high tuition fees that some families cannotafford.

　　當今，絕大部分的學生都要求學生支付學費，大學學費也非常高。許多人都把大學的發展考慮在內，并支持收取高額學費這一做法;但是，也有人認為高額的學費對于許多家庭來說是一個沉重的負擔。我認為，大學不是盈利場所，所以，學校不應該收取高額的學費，許多家庭無法承擔這樣高額的費用。

　　In the first place, the high tuition fees make the families save money for the children instead ofconsuming. A university student will need 12,000 yuan each year on average,which is almostthe income of a couplewho are wage earners. In other words, a family with an average incomewill spend their long-term hard-earned savings, or they will be indebted. What’s worse, mostfamilies’incomes in our country are below the average level. The high fees make the people savemoney for the children’s education even before they are born.

　　首先，高額學費使得家庭會為學生攢錢，而不是進行開銷。大學生每年的學費大約是一萬兩千元，這幾乎是父母的收入。換句話說，擁有平均收入的家庭將要在學費上花費更多的金錢，否則，他們將會負債。更嚴重的是，許多家庭的收入低于平均水平，有些父母甚至在孩子出生之前就開始攢錢。

　　In the second place, the high tuition fees will deprive the children from poor families of theirright of education. Entering universities on their abilities is the only hope for the poor studentsto change their destiny. But the increasingly higher tuition fees make it impossible. Thestatistic shows that there were 60%～70% students coming from the country areas when thecharging system was not introduced. But now the percentage is only 30% or so. Theuniversities will become the paradise of children from rich families, and the poor students will beforced to leave.

　　第二，高額的學費將會剝奪那些貧困生的教育權。依靠水平進入大學是貧困生唯一改變命運的希望。但是，高額的學費卻使這些化為泡影。據數據統計，大約有60-70%的學生來自鄉村，當時大學還沒有推行這一收費系統。但是，現在鄉村學生的比例大約只有30%。大學將成為富人的天堂，貧困生將被迫離開。

　　Finally, it will be much more difficult for the graduates to find jobs. Driven by the profits of hightuition fees, universities recruit more and more students year by year.The outcome ofexpansion leads to the low standard of enrollment and low quality of education. The supplyexceeds demand; there are not so many jobs for the graduates, so most of them can not findjobs when getting out of school.

　　最后，學生找工作將變得越來越困難。由于學費所帶來的利益，每年大學會招收更多的學生。擴招的后果是學生水平的下降，以及教育質量不高。供過于求，對于畢業生來說，市場上沒有那么多的就業崗位，所以畢業之后，他們很難找到工作。

　　All in all, high tuition fees in the universities will influence the development of the society andharm the interests of students. The universities should charge reasonable tuition fees, provideequal opportunities for students and take the responsibility of molding the future of ournation.

　　總之，高額的學費將影響社會的發展，并損害學生的利益。大學學費應該適度，并給予學生平等的機會，肩負起為國家培養人才的責任。
