點(diǎn)睛：本句主干為robert fulton once wrote...。直接引語作wrote的賓語，其主干為the mechanic should sit down…。連詞like“如同，同樣”用在句中構(gòu)成比較。注意，like a poet后面省略了謂語部多了should sit down.considering them as an exhibition of histhoughts是現(xiàn)在分詞短語作狀語表伴隨，其中them指代前面的letters。后面的定語從句in which a newarrangement transmits a new idea修飾前面的exhibition。而本句中的considering是動(dòng)詞consider的分詞形式，這點(diǎn)需要注意，不要將詞性弄混淆了。
