　　2004年考研英語作文真題解說

　　Directions：

　　Study the following drawing carefully and write an essay in which you should

　　1) describe the drawing

　　2) interpret its meaning, and

　　3) support your view with examples

　　You should write about 200 words neatly on ANSWER SHEET 2. (20 points)

　　2004年考研寫作考查了圖畫作文。按照題目這篇作文應(yīng)該包括三點(diǎn)：第一點(diǎn)是描述圖畫中的內(nèi)容；第二點(diǎn)是闡述其含義；第三點(diǎn)是用若干例子來支持自己的觀點(diǎn)。

　　本題的寫作步驟：

　　1. 認(rèn)真審題

　　考生首先要看懂圖片包含的內(nèi)容，根據(jù)題目的要求考慮是否需要給出標(biāo)題。本題中并沒有要求寫標(biāo)題，考生可以根據(jù)自己是否有把握來選擇是否要寫標(biāo)題，一個(gè)好的標(biāo)題可以起到畫龍點(diǎn)睛的作用，但如果沒有把握就不要寫，避免畫蛇添足。通過審題，我們知道主人公是個(gè)正跑到終點(diǎn)線上的小男孩，他頭上冒著汗，嘴角卻帶著笑，地上一個(gè)箭頭寫著終點(diǎn)，而另一個(gè)卻又寫著起點(diǎn)。下面的一行字寫著“終點(diǎn)又是新起點(diǎn)”。

　　2. 理解畫面的含義

　　這是寫作最重要的部分。考生可以根據(jù)自己對(duì)人類社會(huì)、對(duì)日常生活的觀察或自身的親身感受來做出不同的解釋。比如考生可以用辯證的觀點(diǎn)，說明世上的任何事物都是向前發(fā)展的，不斷更替的。就像長(zhǎng)跑比賽一樣有終點(diǎn)，一旦到達(dá)終點(diǎn)，又有一個(gè)新的起點(diǎn)。也可以理解為人類的歷史就是這樣不斷奮勇向前的。

　　3. 用若干具體事例支持自己的觀點(diǎn)

　　其實(shí)這樣的實(shí)例是很多的。比如說，人類對(duì)某一自然現(xiàn)象的理解取得了突破性進(jìn)展(如基因的發(fā)現(xiàn)解答了生物遺傳之謎，同時(shí)又標(biāo)志著動(dòng)物克隆的一個(gè)新起點(diǎn)；我國(guó)神州五號(hào)飛船勝利返航到達(dá)終點(diǎn)，同時(shí)也意味著我國(guó)太空探索領(lǐng)域的新起點(diǎn))。再近一點(diǎn)，經(jīng)過4年的緊張學(xué)習(xí)，我們的大學(xué)時(shí)代即將到達(dá)終點(diǎn)；而從另一方面看，無論我們考上研究生還是投身于社會(huì)，未來的歲月對(duì)我們來說都是一個(gè)新的起點(diǎn)等。

　　Stopping for a New Start

　　In the picture presented to us, we can see a runner who is dashing to the finishing line, dripping with sweat all over the forehead. Apparently, he is very happy at the final victory of the race after a long running. However, as an arrow marked "End" points to the finishing line, there immediately follows another arrow marked with "Beginning".

　　Though this picture only describing a runner who is going to start a new run after reaching the finishing line, yet it demonstrates a universal law that governs the development of mankind. Judging from the title "Finishing Line Leads to Another Starting Point", we get to know the artists real intention: he tries to indicate that there is no end on the way of making progress.

　　This drawing reminds me a lot of phenomena in the world. The most obvious example is the discovery of gene, which is the final solution to the mystery of the life. But on the other hand, it is a staring point that triggers off the study of cloning. Another example is the safe return of Shenzhou V spaceship, which marks the triumphant end of the launch. At the same time, it begins a new era for Chinas space exploration. A third example concerns something about ourselves. Four years college life is now approaching to the end and each of us is going to stand at a new starting point, either as a postgraduate or a member of the society. In this sense, we are stopping for a new start. Only when we are wellprepared for it, can we meet the challenge in the future and be the winner of the new era.
