高考英語：書面表達中冠詞的誤用

英語中只有三個冠詞，同學們常常是由于對定冠詞和不定冠詞用法以及區別分辨不清而出現的錯誤。常見的錯誤有以下三種：一是不定冠詞a和an互改，二是不定冠詞a, an與定冠詞the互改，三是根據需要增刪冠詞。
誤：It’s a tallest building in the world.
正：It’s the tallest building in the world.
譯：這是世界上最高的建筑物。
析：形容詞最高級前面應用定冠詞the修飾。
誤：That’s a second time you’ve asked me that.
正：That’s the second time you’ve asked me that.
譯：這是你第二次問我那件事。
析：序數詞前面必須用定冠詞the修飾，而不能用不定冠詞。
誤：He taught himself to play a violin.
正：He taught himself to play the violin.
譯：他自學了拉小提琴。
析：樂器前面要加定冠詞the。
誤：She is now an university student.
正：She is now a university student.
譯：她現在是大學生。
析：university雖然以原音字母開頭，但其讀音卻是以輔音開頭，所以它前面應該用a而不是an。類似的詞還有European, useful, usual, united, one-way等。還有一些單詞雖然是以輔音字母開頭，但讀音卻是以原音開頭，這時它們前面就要用an，這類詞有hour, honest, honor等。
誤：Are you to go there by the bike or by the bus?
正：Are you to go there by bike or by bus?
譯：你騎車還是坐車去？
析：表示交通方式用by直接加交通工具，其前不要加冠詞。
誤：In 30s there was a lot of unemployment.
正：In the 30s there was a lot of unemployment.
譯：三十年代失業現象嚴重。
析：定冠詞用于整十的復數數詞前，表示幾十年代。c
