Knowledge and Diploma
With the development of the society, more and more people enroll in the postgraduate examination for getting a higher diploma. Most companies are inclined to hire the people with high diploma.
隨著社會(huì)的發(fā)展，越來越多的人為獲得更高的學(xué)歷而參加研究生考試。大部分公司都傾向于雇傭高學(xué)歷的人才。
However, is it really true that high diploma equals to high ability or profound knowledge? Some people do not agree on this kind of idea. They claim that ability or knowledge means more than diploma. Take Bill Gates, the head of the microsoft, for example, he does not have an MBA degree which is believed to play a vital role in the success in commercial life. Furthermore, Sam Walton of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. does not have an MBA degree, but he is the most successful man in the business community.
然而，高學(xué)歷真的能等同于能力強(qiáng)或知識(shí)淵博嗎?有些人并不認(rèn)同這種觀點(diǎn)。他們宣稱，能力或知識(shí)比學(xué)歷更重要。以微軟的總裁比爾·蓋茨為例，他沒有獲得人們普遍認(rèn)為對(duì)商業(yè)生涯的成功起著至關(guān)重要作用的工商管理碩士學(xué)位。另外，沃爾瑪百貨有限公司的山姆·沃爾頓也沒有工商管理碩士學(xué)位，但他是商界最成功的人士。
In my opinion, diploma is not equal to knowledge. A diploma is a piece of paper which establishes your education degree. But your ability and the real knowledge come from your hard work and endowment. If you got a diploma by dishonest behavior, no matter how high a diploma it is, it is just a piece of paper, and you are as blank as that paper. (187 words)
依我看來，學(xué)歷不等于知識(shí)。學(xué)歷只是一張能代表你教育程度的紙。而你的能力和真正的知識(shí)來自于你的努力工作和天賦。如果你通過不誠實(shí)的手段獲取一個(gè)學(xué)歷，無論那個(gè)學(xué)歷有多高，它僅僅是一張紙而己，而你會(huì)像那張紙一樣空白。
