IS knowledge or ability the most improtant?

It is true that the subject we learn at college always have little connection with our future work in society. But it doesn't mean that knowledge is not important. It helps you learn more about the world, it can give your heart a peace place, and make you a wise man. It is more than that. Knowledge has its own magic, you have to feel it in your heart way.

I really appreciate your comments,Maybe custom Chinese education emphasizes the transfer of konwledge rather than the development of ability, knowledge is very important ,I never doubt that,but I just feel Chinese university is not doing well in the development of students' ability, the ability to solve the practical problem. the foreign education emphasizes learning over using,but in China the students is learning over forgeting!

I think this phenomenon is originated from education. Before entering college, all students have do is under the guidence of parents and teachers. In the colleges, students don't know to make their choices and haven't  enough confidencs in their own heart. Then they choose to follow the crowd and feel safer. Knowledge and ability is equal, one can increase another. To choose one you most value is the correct.

In my opinion ,the ability that we learn in campus is limited or even useless for the future ,because when  we get into society we will be on face of new social circumstance  that may not be similar with the universitie's.While the school life can provide you enough time to study .Knowledge is so important that everyone in society can not ignore it and it can make huge benefits for society and for yourself .So ,to my way of thinking ,univesity students should take most chool time for studying and participate in some useful activities slectively in your spare time to improve our practical ability.

Knowledge is of minor importance. Knowledge change all the time and our view on specific knowlegde changes also all the time. Your skills don't change, at least, they grow. It's better to learn how to find knowlegde, how to analyse it, process it and judge it, than to have a lot of knowledge, and find out the knowledge you have is no longer useful.

In the end, you need the right knowledge, but you will get it with good skills, which makes skills, more important than the knowledge, especially the knowledge you learn in school.
