Alice666: Where is this sentence from, sounds so familiar, mind telling me? Tks! I'm reading Uncle Tom's Cabin.The sentence comes from Chapter 9. I don't know what "spring up into" mean here. And I don't understand the structure of "are the seed from which spring healing flowers and balm for the desolate and the distressed" and what the word "which" refer to. What's your opinion? |
