Firstly I think 宋 reflects the Chinese officials who corrupt and abuse their powers. Like most men who have the affair he could give 海藻 everything except marriage but couldn't make any promise  to her. Suppose  he doesn't have the status and the power then he will not be in this trouble .In another word he fails to control himself.

I only saw the begining of it, but my friends showed me some dialogues in it.  I have to say, it's too realistic which made me depressed. In this distorted and dark society, we need some lies, or boasts like our government alway did, to make us believe there are still hopes.

I think it's depend on the Values .Every coin has two sides including Values. Some men with rich and success.They want to let every one know his accomplishment. In another word they usually want to flaunt. And it's easy to become vain glory and self-conceit. So they are easy to change.

it is too realistic ,but i can not understhand 海藻 yet !as a graduather of a famaous university ,she can chouse many other better roads to change her life and inprove he family 's life enviroment ,though reality is too cruel !but we must believe that everytings are will be ok!
i also signed the love between 海藻 and 小貝，xiaobei is a very very smart person , he is a person who should be cherished in our lives!
