Yes, it is indeed hard to find a friend who can talk frankly heart to heart without condition, competition or selfishness. They want to know all about you but they are distrustful in letting you know what is in their heart. I wonder why can't people talk and discuss personal problems in depth. Both will benefit because things seen from a different angle can have different result. There is a chinese saying, &quot;the bystanders see things more clear&quot; Looking back, I found I benefitted a lot from support from friends, but nowadays the friends are only interested in what you can offer to them. It is indeed pitiful and if it goes on like this people would be driven to the extreme and can't enjoy normal happy life. So let us offer a helping hand to others who need it. United we stand, divided we fall.

True, that is what I observed too. Glad to know that you have the same experience, so I can say this situation is getting common. Indeed a pity. People are programmed to need others and if this goes on, it will be sad for many.

Indeed thank you for your clear and unique view on friend and friendship . As you said , if everyone has the same idea as you and can treat each other sincerely with a considerate and frank heart , i think he or she will be able to make more real friends , as is expected for all .

I have got some real friends before,but after entering college I have`nt found one yet... It`s really hard to find a real friend in college,I`m still searching,I believe I can find one some day, it may takes some while,but I just believe that.
