The global economic slowdown may drag chinas growth down to 7.5percent in2009,the lowestfigure in two decades, the world bank has forecast.
The conference will detail measures for achieving at least 8percent growth in 2009,the minimum required to keep the unemployment situation under control.
Such growth is considered high for many economies.But ti is not deemed enough for a nation that need to chun out 10million jobs for fresh seekers each year.
Preferential policies offer hope for new graduate
AN unnamed official from the ministry of human resources and social security was quoted by 21century business herald as saying that four major measures will be considered to tackle the impact of the finacial crisis on domestic employment:
1.Training program Training program the ministry requires local administrations to make full use of re-employment funds and unemployment insurance funds.This will enhance the on-the-job training for enterprise wokers,urban lay-offs,migrant workers and pre-job training graduates.
2.More openings According to the ministry,the 4trillion-yuan stimulus package passed earlier this year should focus on the creation of new jobs.The fund should be encouraged to invest in labor-intensive industries and enterprises.
3.Less cutbacks The ministry is attempting to maintain current jobs and encourage companies not to reduce staff.Officials from the ministry said'enterprises,especially state-ownde ones,should take responsibility for avoiding job cuts.As for laid-off workers,unemployment insurance should be handed out'

I don't believe the ministry will solve the problem quickly.Economy's recover, I don't think ministry just come on a series of measure will settle the crisis, it is not a simple problem.
